Trinket #361 - Easy Beaded Bracelet

I love the meditative qualities of stringing beads. This bracelet was made using an extra-long length of wire strung with glass seed beads. I wrapped the wire to double the coil and then added a simple clasp to finish it. Ahhh...

Trinket #354 - Bundle O' Beads Ring

Another ring, just like I promised! This one is made by simply stringing glass beads onto a steel wire and wrapping it to the ring blank. I like the easy, organic look and feel of this one, and it's probably a project I will repeat.

Trinket #351 - Necklace with Seed Bead Accent

I couldn't decide if I wanted to make a bracelet or a necklace, so I combined some of the techniques for each and made this instead. I'm not sure how much I like it just yet. A trial-run of wearing for a day is definitely in order before I make another.

Trinket # 350 - Knotted Pendant

I pulled out the jig for this pendant, but ultimately ended up making the finished product with only wire and round pliers. The four failed attempts with the jig were enough for me to finally learn a lesson, I suppose.

The bottom of the pendant features an opaque glass bead for weight and color.

Trinket #347 - Citrus Slice Earrings

These were a quick and easy trinket made from hoop blanks and some glass beads grabbed at random from the supply stash.

Trinket #346 - Christmas Necklace

I'm not really big on the whole "holiday spirit" thing, but my daughter certainly is. I made this quick necklace with embroidery floss and a big crackled glass bead for her.

Trinket #334 - Clean and Classic Glass-Adorned Hoops

These were trickier than they look. I probably ended up with more seed beads on the floor than I did on the finished trinket. Seriously.

Trinket #323 - Silver Hoops with Crackled Purple Glass

I have been building some sort of sleep deficit, because tonight I fell asleep on the couch at around 7:00 PM. It's a miracle today's trinket was completed at all! That being said, this pair of earrings was a quick and simple project that took about three minutes to complete.

Trinket #316 - Craft Fair Hangover Bracelet

I've been up since 5:30 AM, which is so completely unfathomable for me that I can barely even type it. We made it to the craft fair today, set up on time, and enjoyed lots of fun conversation and friendly faces. The traffic at the show was a little low thanks to the epic detours caused by the Richmond marathon, but we at least passed the break-even point. Best of all, I got rid of lots of trinkets that have been stashed since the early days of this project!

I managed to make this glass and silver bracelet today in between chatting with customers.

Trinket #312 - Bleeding Hearts Bracelet

I found a scrap of heart-link chain and decided to use it with some seed beads from the junk box to make this dainty little bracelet.

Trinket #311 - Halloween Nostalgia Earrings

I know that it was only last week, but it seems like so long ago... I just hate to see the calendar with eleven months until it comes around again.

These earrings were made with faceted quartz, Czech glass, and black tourmaline.

Trinket #306 - Blue Period Necklace

More hemp and beads. Not only are these quick to make, I really enjoy wearing them. I make these with the adjustable, slider knots that I use on the bracelets so they can be worn at different lengths. They're uber-versatile and pair well with other necklaces, too!

Trinket #303 - Quick and Random Earrings

Wire + seed beads = today's trinket. Short on time, short on motivation, and short on attention span. Hey, I still made something instead of skipping a day, and that has to count for something!

Trinket #302 - Peach Jolly Rancher Earrings

Again, little time and little energy for a trinket today, but I managed one anyway. I did a meet-and-greet all afternoon in a 300-year old building with 40 degree temperatures outside and 20 mile per hour winds. Even though the crowd was awesome, I'm exhausted and frozen to the bone five hours after the event wrapped. Not a good sign. I have ONE MORE appearance for the season tomorrow night, and I hope that whatever sickness I've been keeping at bay doesn't overpower me before then.

Trinket #301 - Falling Leaf Pendant

Not the best wire-wrapping job I've ever done, but I'm running on empty and can barely see my own hands, let alone trinket components. I only have to make it through the next 48 hours of appearances and events, and then I'll be able to take a deep breath and chill for a minute or two.

Trinket #300 - "Just Ain't Gonna Work Out" Bracelet

I put work on hold for the evening and ventured out to a concert that I've been super-excited about for months. (Mayer Hawthorne and the County with Chromeo) I picked up some limited edition color vinyl that inspired the colors for the beads in this hemp and glass bracelet!

Trinket #297 - Deco Drop Earrings

Today is a blur. I'm not sure really when it started or when it's going to end. Sadly, the rest of this week is going to be much the same, so I can't promise any stellar trinkets for a few more days.

Trinket #296 - Icy Blue Earrings

I'm so tired that I truly cannot find words to properly express it. I can't wait for October to be over! This used to be my favorite month, but then I had to go and mess that up by writing ghost books. What happens every year now? October is full of lectures, appearances, and other events. Compound that with a new book release and the result is complete, exhausting CHAOS.

Needless to say, this was a quick trinket. A few glass beads on a head pin attached to an ear wire. FIN.

Trinket #295 - Favorite Shades of Green Bracelet

I decided this evening that I'd wear green to an event tomorrow, so I made this quick and simple bracelet to accompany my dress. The trinket is made from a double strand of green hemp which has been knotted every inch or so, and has had glass beads added between alternating knots. To secure the bracelet, a spherical bead slips through a tight loop at one end.

Also to note, I received my advance copy of Unstuck by Noah Scalin today! Together, Noah and Voyageur Press have done another fantastic job creating a flexible, fun book that is made to be written in and nearly destroyed by it's owner/user.

Trust me, this is a good thing!
