Trinket #353 - Leaf Skeleton Ring

I found this piece of a gold leaf skeleton in a parking lot a few weeks ago. I love the way some of the gold has been worn away, and I thought it would pair well with some vintage-looking glass beads and a bronze ring blank. I am pleased!

Also, I recently picked up a bundle of these antiqued bronze ring blanks and discovered that they are quite fun to use. I'm betting you can expect to see more trinkets using them over the next few days...

Trinket #218 - Sponge Coral Earrings

I still haven't managed to replenish my silver stock, but I did succeed in locating some gunmetal headpins and ear hooks in the bottom of the junk box! I paired that salvaged gunmetal with a few chunks of sponge coral to complete these earrings. The idea that a thousand tiny sea organisms once called this trinket home is pretty cool to me, and I don't really care what anyone else thinks. I'm going to wear these tomorrow!

Trinket #170 - Clockwork Brooch

In the interest of full disclosure, I purchased the bones for this brooch as a necklace from Etsy. It never worked well as a necklace, so I moved a few bits around, added a couple of little things, and attached the whole construction to a brooch pin. I think this reinvented trinket would look dandy on a lapel or even on a hatband with some sort of upscale lady's steampunk ensemble...
