I tried to resist, but the FIMO was too enticing. I put my little fingers to work and made some moon face beads last night. I know, I know, why get a jump on starting when you have to keep your momentum going for a whole year? I guess I just couldn't help myself. The downside is now I'm itching to make something with them! Hopefully I can hold off a few more days.

Warming Up at the Starting Line
I got a box of goodies yesterday from Blick Art Supplies - mostly things for other work, but a few treats to use during this marathon of jewelry making. One of those treats was a lovely package of pearl FIMO I picked up specifically to use for a project I had in mind involving moonstone. I have been squirreling away strands of gemstone chips for a few years and had an idea come to me to create a series of celestial pieces while going through the stash recently.
