Trinket #207 - Tattooed Lady Necklace

In the interest of full disclosure, the components for this trinket were actually purchased from Etsy and merely assembled by me. I replaced the too-puny ball chain that came with the pendant with a heftier (and more retro-feeling) dark brown satin ribbon. The result: a trinket that I will actually wear now.

It's strange to think about a time when being covered in tattoos made you a spectacle worthy of a sideshow. My town (Richmond, Virginia) is the 3rd most tattooed city in the US. That translates to a LOT of ink in this city. I see people everyday who make the lovely lady in this portrait look mediocre at best. Do we call that progress?
