(TRIN-KET: noun - a small ornament, piece of jewelry, etc., usually of little value.)
Inspired by the "365: Make Something Every Day" Creativity Challenge, I will make and post a trinket every day for one year beginning January 1, 2011.

Trinket #38 - God Save the Queen
In case you haven't heard, today is another Motif Monday and the theme this week is "God save the Queen!" After much debate, I decided hair clips could be considered trinkets, so I dug out this little Union Jack button and made it the centerpiece of a red wool flower.
The flower is made from scraps of a felted sweater that are held together with a bit of wire and then twisted onto a small clip. This trinket is essentially a freebie made from old stuff I already had. How's that for keeping calm and carrying on?
