Trinket #313 - Stones and Bones Pendant

This is another quick creation from the junk box. I'm still trying to fight whatever sickness has had me down for the past two weeks, but I'm doing a poor job of it. Quick trinkets are better than no trinkets.

Trinket #270 - Sticks and Stones Earrings

Another Junk Box creation. These earrings are made from a medley of shells, stones, bones, and wood. I may see about adding a feather or two later, but I think they'd be small ones if I go that route. I'll have to see what the chickens decide to shed this week.

PS - The jug is a liquor crock I made last year as sort of a joke gift for the husband. It's only sort of a joke because he thought it was more awesome than funny...

Trinket #102 - Magnetite Earrings

So, today was delivery day and a new stash of supplies landed fresh in my lap for this trinket. I chose these odd little magnetite trapezoids because of their beautiful olive green speckles. The stones are so interesting on their own that I decided not to detract from them at all with other beads or fancy wire wrapping, opting instead to have them hang on their own from these simple gunmetal wires.

MineralMiners.com lists the following metaphysical description of magnetite:

Magnetite is said to enhance one's spirituality and to assist in meditation. It is also said to increase physical energy, vitality and endurance, and to dispel negative emotions such as fear and anger, and to attract love and protect virtue.
