Trinket #349 - Necklace Upgrade

I wore this aventurine necklace today and decided it needed a little more pizazz to help counterbalance such a long chain. I salvaged these silver leaves from an over-the-top gaudy necklace. The result? Two things that I didn't like so much before that came together to make something I do like. Excellent!

PS - I will be trinketing over the next couple of days, but will not be able to post again until Sunday evening. I'm leaving in the (way too) early AM for Denver!

Trinket #322 - Green Aventurine Necklace

A chunk of aventurine holds the spotlight on this 30-inch long silver chain. Simple and green - two of my favorite things!

Trinket #317 - Green Aventurine Bracelet

This was a quick and simple trinket made from a pre-fab charm bracelet chain. I wrapped a chunk of aventurine the same way I would for a pendant and then used the same wrapping technique to attach it to the chain (no jump rings to fail at inopportune times.)

Charms of Light has this to say about the supposed metaphysical properties of green aventurine:

"Aventurine is a stone of prosperity.  It reinforces leadership qualities and decisiveness.  Promotes compassion and empathy.  Encourages perseverance.  Aventurine relieves stammers and severe neuroses.  It stabilises one’s state of mind, stimulates perception and enhances creativity.  Aids in seeing alternatives and possibilities.  Calms anger and irritation.  Promotes feelings of well-being.  Aventurine balances male-female energy.  It encourages regeneration of the heart.  Protects against environmental pollution."

Trinket #128 - Green Aventurine Pendant

Exhausting weekend = quick trinket. This one is a big hunk of green aventurine held with silver wire and adorned with a little bit of silver chain for movement. I didn't have a necklace chain handy, so this is strung on a piece of hemp cord for now.

Aventurine is actually a form of quartz, and the green is my absolute favorite. Charmsoflight.com describes the healing and metaphysical properties as follows:

"Aventurine is a stone of prosperity.  It reinforces leadership qualities and decisiveness.  Promotes compassion and empathy.  Encourages perseverance.  Aventurine relieves stammers and severe neuroses.  It stabilises one’s state of mind, stimulates perception and enhances creativity.  Aids in seeing alternatives and possibilities.  Calms anger and irritation.  Promotes feelings of well-being.  Aventurine balances male-female energy.  It encourages regeneration of the heart.  Protects against environmental pollution."
